We asked you to #GetYourWiggleOn
What’s your favourite cure for the January blues? If you thought nothing beats getting active and having fun, we might have just raised the bar this year. What about getting active, having fun and raising £50,000 for charity, all at the same time?
That’s what our January #GetYourWiggleOn campaign was all about. For every video or photo you posted of yourself putting a cheeky bit of energy into your daily activities, we donated £10 to the UK charity of your choice, with 100% of all donations going to the good causes you nominated.
Our aim was to raise money for some fabulous charities who’ve been working tirelessly to support vulnerable people. And we’re pleased to announce that, in less than two months, all your wiggles have helped us reach our £50,000 target!
The top five charities to benefit from your wiggles
There were 103 charities nominated in total who all benefited from your amazing generosity. But the top five charities to be nominated were...
East Cheshire Hospice - a warm and welcoming space for adults facing life-limiting illness.
RISE - an independent charity that helps people affected by domestic abuse.
The Girls’ Network - an organisation empowering girls from the least advantaged communities
Mind - a charity that ensures no one has to face mental health problems on their own.
Care UK - who provide quality care homes across the UK.
How did you #GetYourWiggleOn?
There’s nothing like a bit of movement to put a smile on your face, even on the most depressing day of the year. We launched our campaign on Monday 17 January (aka Blue Monday) to help you have fun and get active - and to help charities at a time when they need us the most.
And you didn’t disappoint us! From dancing around at home in your lingerie to getting your sweat on in the boxing ring, you really got involved, helping us spread the good vibes and positivity.
Among those lending a hand were Pour Moi babe Helen Flanagan (whose little kitchen boogie really made our day) and fashion Instagrammers like ChantellePlusModel (whose TikTok dance with her teenage son was seriously impressive!).
We’re so grateful to everyone who got their wiggle on and helped us reach our £50,000 target. We think you all looked fantastic… and can’t thank you enough for supporting our campaign
