Get Your Glow On With Our Skin Boosting Smoothie

Beautiful, glowing, and healthy skin starts from the inside out. Whilst a good skincare (and workout) routine is important, it’s essential that you’re feeding your body with the nourishing foods to support your skin from within. Fuelling your body with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants can play an important part for a glowing complexion.

There are often deeper issues and causes behind skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis that can’t necessarily be managed or cleared through nutrition alone. Many skin conditions require treatments to help achieve transformational results. Although supportive nutrition does play a big part in promoting healthy skin.

Skin boosting smoothie

Ingredients

Serves 2

240ml of coconut water

120ml of water

30g spinach

15g kale

1tbsp ground flaxseeds

50g strawberries *

100g pineapple chunks *

100g mango chunks *

1 large orange *

Method

Add the coconut water, water, spinach, kale and ground flaxseeds to a blender and blend on high for around one minute. Once you’re happy with the consistency add strawberries, pineapple chunks, mango chunks and orange and blend on high for a further minute. Once the fruit has been mixed, taste to test. If you like it a bit sweeter add some honey or agave for an extra sweet kick.

You can use frozen fruit instead of fresh fruit as it still holds a good amount of nutritional value.
